She is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the physician
billing projects including the implementation and management of the company
compliance program. Ms. McGuirk is very knowledgeable in the area of federal
and state medical billing regulations and provides regular updates to HRA’s
clients. She is involved with accounts receivable management, including negotiations
for managed care contracts.
Ms. McGuirk is an expert in charge coding, ICD-9 coding, chart analysis and
insurance billing, including electronic claims submission. She is certified
by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). She is a member of
the Healthcare Billing & Management Association (HBMA), Medical Group
Management Association (MGMA) and the Society of Hospitalist Management (SHM).
Kathy has served on various committees in support of coding regulations and
emergency and trauma physicians and hospitalists’ causes.
